Evaporation

aim: to separate the copper sulfate from the water

hypothesis:  the water will evaporate from the copper sulfate in time to eventually get plain solid copper sulfate.

Equipment: Copper sulfate solution, 250mL Beaker, heatproof mat, evaporating basin, element.

Method:

  1. Set up element

  2. Add 100mL of hot water to the beaker and place it on the element.

  3. Add copper sulfate to the evaporating basin until it is quarter full.

  4. Carefully, place the evaporating basin on top of the beaker.

  5. Turn on the element to 3

  6. Heat the solution until most of the solvent has been evaporated and crystals of solute are forming.

  7. Turn off the element- be careful not to touch, as it will be hot for a long time.

conclusion:  The mixture of a solvent and solute solution we bought the Heat up to a Boil to evaporate the water to let copper sulfate crystals to form so I was right

aim-To separate a mixer we have made using filiation.

hypothesis- what will happen it will filter into 2

method

I mix 50ml of copper sulfate and 50ml of sodium carbonate solution and then filter it.

concussion- Copper sulfate can't be filtered when put into a mixture.

DTE

Andrei was absent while I did all the work. Noel, I assume, was also dying at his house.

We made wheels, poked holes in them, continued programming and Andrei get cut by my own dumb. Noel is absent once again.

Andrei got the official logbook from Mr. Carter’s site. Mr. Carter starts a COD match.

We’ve started making the starting point for the Spheros. These guys are just plain idiots, but I don’t think I get to say so considering I’m friends with them.

Andrei began writing the blog for our oh-so-beautiful project. But, my god, it's gonna be up to them right now if we pass or not. Andrei just writing the blog. Noel recommended that Andrei add as much sass as he can for the log and blog. It rhymes, but I'm gonna add as much as I can to indicate how much I want to dump slime on them or whatever heinous prank I can do.

We seem to have lost our code in the ocean of projects.

I don't believe we have finished it completely, but I have yet to find out.

We're doing a blog this time. I'm just doing mine.

These guys have barely helped me with the log and thus, it's just me covering every bit of topic. Andrei write better

than me and Noel, so we appointed Andrei as the writer. Also because either we were lazy, or couldn't write. It's both, but I can forgive the latter.

Why am I still doing thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiisss

this is from the Project Logbook

this is kind of what we wanted a cardboard car to be

this is the code

Science

Idea- that Hot Mixtures makes better because the particles move faster so they collide with other particles to mix and that Mixing mixtures also makes it combined better cos you're  Blending the particles together.

Hypotheses- set the hot water stering will Mix fastest

Experiment-

  1. 50ml of cold water One spatula of sugar stir

  2. 50ml of hot water  One spatula of sugar stir

  3. 50ml of hot water  One spatula of sugar

  4. 50ml of cold water  One spatula of sugar

Results- We did it 5 times for each experiment and we averaged it out

  1. 54 sec

  2. 29.75 sec

  3. 76.2 sec

  4. 163.8 sec

Conclusion- I was right the hot water and stirring was the fastest to mix

because we gave it quote on quote the two ingredients that it needed to mix the fastest

and we made a lot of sugar water that we couldn't drink cos we made in beakers

Thursday 24 September 2020

At week 7 we started a project for Business and enterprises.

wow

We were planning to do afghans and banana milkshakes but it was a bad idea so we only did afghans.

What are we learning in chemicals

What are we learning in chemicals?

Particle theory is the six rules of particles these are the six rules. these rule help determine how a substance will behave.

- all matter is made up of particles
- all particles in a pure substance are the same
- there is space between all particles
- particles are always moving
- there are attractive forces between particles
- temperature affects the speed at which particles move particles e.g fast-moving particles are hot and vice versa

Diffusion: Is the movement of particles from areas of high concentration to low concentration.
e.g perfume, or like if you add CO2 and O2 (in a matter of seconds).

Aim: To observe the effect of temperature on the speed of diffusion.
hypnosis: hot= fast cold=slow
method: we added potassium permanganate to hot and cold water at the same time to see how fast the diffusion would happen.

The explanation: the hot water moves the die much faster than the cold one it did this because the particles in the hot water were moving much faster because of particle theory rule number six and also because there more heat = energy.

sustainability

In sustainability, we have Learnt what sustainability is and how to sustain
our planet for all life. Why animals and plants go Instinct A example is
deforestation all types of pollution and that is only two examples but we as
humans are getting better to sustain our planet for not just Are good but for
all animals and plants. 360° Videos | National Geographic.

Also, we had to do some games with dragon cards, it was fun as well
after we got the hang of how to play. We were in groups of 2-4 with
classmates or just our friends. The card game was sort of challenging
but it was also a good game to play.
Here's also a pic of what the dragon cards look like:
What I didn't like about it the first time I was playing  I got bored with it too.
another thing I didn't like about it, was it was kinda something I didn't like
to play even though it was the first time I had played dragon cards whatever it called.

In conclusion, I had a really good time in Mr. Carter's class and I
what like to stay in Mr. carter’s class

arthritis

what causes arthritis
Most forms of arthritis are thought to be caused by a fault in the immune system that causes the body to attack its own tissues in the joints. This may be inherited genetically. Arthritis caused by an infection is called 'reactive arthritis'.

can everyone get arthritis and who is most likely to get arthritis
People of all ages, sexes and races can and do have arthritis, and it is the leading cause of disability in America. More than 50 million adults and 300,000 children have some type of arthritis. It is most common among women and occurs more frequently as people get older.
what are the two most common types of arthritis
Two common types of arthritis are osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Osteoarthritis (OA) is a painful, degenerative joint disease that often involves the hips, knees, neck, lower back, or small joints of the hands.
what is the ways to prevent arthritis
  1. How to avoid achy joints. You can't always prevent arthritis. ...
  2. Eat fish. Certain fish are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, a healthy polyunsaturated fat. ...
  3. Control your weight. Your knees have to support your body weight. ...
  4. Exercise. ...
  5. Avoid injury. ...
  6. Protect your joints. ...
  7. See your doctor.
how is arthritis treated
Treatment of arthritis generally includes rest, occupational or physical therapy, exercise, drugs, and sometimes surgery to correct joint damage. Treatments for osteoarthritis generally can help relieve pain and stiffness, but the disease may continue to progress.

looks can be deceiving

looks can be deceiving

Example 1: The Beldam / The other mother
-She starts off as good/kind but she revealed to be an evil soul-devouring Monster
-Shows theme because that other mother changes gradually over time so that Coraline doesn't notice
-Important to the story because helps the Audience understand Coraline choices when she Realises that having everything perfect won't make her happy

Example 2: Other world vs Real World
- The other world is a perfect web/trap to catch Coraline, whereas the real world is boring but safe.
- Show theme because even though the other world seems better in every way, the real world is actually better/safer because it isn't a trap.
- Important to help the audience understand why Coraline goes back to the real world.
  • Statement- In Coraline, themes, and ideas I used effectively.
  • Evidence- For instance, the theme 'looks can be deceiving' is shown through the character of the 'other mother'The Other Mother ' starts kind, but is revealed to be a soul-devouring demon.
  • eXplanation- This makes the audience feel that we shouldn't trust things or people that seem perfect at first glance.
  • eXplanation- This was done to make the audience feel weary or develop a sense of caution toward new situations.
  • Coinciding with this is the use of color to show the 'Other Mother' is becoming eviler. At the start, she is surrounded by warm colors that make us feel safe, but by the end, it is dark with neon green wich her seem dangerous.
  • Your link &  This they're is also shown through the changes in the 'other world'  as it is revealed to be a spider web design to catch Coraline.

About The hand

Heres my blog post All about the Hand and what the bones in it, also how they all make the hand move...

How the bones are connect is with the ligaments and that helps the fingers and stuff to bend back and forwards...

  • bones a frame of your body.
  • muscles move the joints of your body.
  • Cartilage For when your bones still Rabbids rubs off the cartilage not the bones.
  • Synovial fluid Stop bones rubbing against each other.
  • Ligament Whole stuff like your kneecaps on your body and help move certain joints in your hand and feet.

Here is all the things that are in a hand.
Movements of the hand are mostly started by muscles in the forearm. Only the thin tendons of these muscles are found directly in the hand: the extensor tendons used for stretching the hand run through the back of the hand to the tips of the fingers, and the flexor (bending) tendons run through the palms to the fingers
